 Marietta Davis

Marietta Davis is the general manager for Microsoft’s Greater Southeast District Enterprise and Partner Group.  In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the sales, marketing and service delivery functions to the company’s enterprise customers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina.  She is additionally responsible for Microsoft’s engagement with the community on issues of importance including economic development and innovation.  

Davis brings more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing in the information technology industry to her position.  Previously, she served as general manager for Microsoft’s Heartland District where she led sales and marketing initiatives to customers throughout Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee. 

Prior to that role, she was the director of headquarter sales for Microsoft’s Central Region.  In this capacity, Davis led a team of district sales leaders managing multiple territories of sales teams to achieve Microsoft business and revenue objectives. 

Davis also worked on Microsoft’s U.S. Operations team as director of strategy, supporting the global strategic and major enterprise business.  She was responsible for setting strategy and execution direction in multiple areas, including security mobilization, enterprise agreement renewals and marketing field integration programs. 

Before joining Microsoft in 1999, Davis spent five years in various sales and marketing roles at IBM.  While there, she was instrumental in delivering large-scale business solutions to many prominent clients, resulting in her receipt of the prestigious IBM “Golden Circle Award.” 

Passionate about community service and volunteerism, Davis actively supports  Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and encourages young women to enter the science and technology fields.  She serves on the board of TechBridge, a local non-profit organization that helps other non-profits leverage technology to accomplish their goals.  She also is involved with the Autism Society of America.

She holds a B.A. in business and television production from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., and an MBA from Loyola University in Chicago. 

Kirsten Kliphouse
Regional Vice President
U.S. East Region Enterprise & Partner Group

Kirsten Kliphouse is Regional Vice President for the U.S. East Region Enterprise & Partner Group.  Kliphouse leads a team accountable for delivering business critical, technology solutions to 1,500 of Microsoft’s largest commercial customers within a 19 state geography. In this position, her top priority is revenue and profit growth achieved by delivering value-based, software solutions and outstanding customer satisfaction.  Her organization is on point to build and engage a robust community of Microsoft Certified Partners who provide industry and business process solutions, integration services and application development to enterprise customers.

Prior to the Regional Vice President role, Kliphouse served as the General Manager of OEM for Microsoft U.S. where she led Microsoft’s strategy and implementation for sustained business growth across the OEM segment. Key areas of focus included ensuring OEMs preinstalled Microsoft products, reducing piracy across the channel and helping partners lead with innovations and Microsoft solutions that accelerate hardware acquisitions. This segment includes the 15,000 Systems Builders, Named OEMs, Distributors and U.S. landed business for the covered OEMs like Dell and HP.

Previous to this role, Kliphouse served as the Microsoft’s General Manager for the Greater Southeast District where she led the sales, marketing and technical engagement teams for enterprise customers across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. Under Kliphouse’s leadership, the Greater Southeast District grew year-over-year and was named District of the Year in 2006.

Kliphouse has held a variety of headquarter and field positions within Microsoft including assignments in senior management, strategic planning, business development and field sales. Prior to joining Microsoft, she held various positions with NYNEX Corporation/IBM Product Centers. Kliphouse is active in her local community and with several non profits including TechBridge, the NPower affiliate where she helps non profits reach their potential through technology.

Kliphouse currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband and four children.  She enjoys spending time with her family and she loves to play just about any sport.

Bill Pierson
Atlanta MTC Director

Bill Pierson is the Director of the Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) in Atlanta. He is responsible for the performance and operation of a collaborative state-of-the-art facility that connects customers with innovative technologies and world-class expertise, enabling them to envision, experience, design, and deploy solutions to meet their exact needs. In this role, he guides the delivery of solutions that deliver maximum business value to Microsoft’s largest, most complex corporate and government customers, while ensuring that the highest levels of customer and partner satisfaction are delivered by Microsoft’s enterprise teams.

Pierson joined Microsoft in 2004 as a Solutions Sales Professional focused on application platform solutions for telecommunications companies, eventually becoming the Alliance Director for AT&T where he led partnership and joint go-to-market initiatives between Microsoft and AT&T.

Prior to Microsoft, Pierson held a variety of sales and technical management roles with Sun Microsystems, SGI and Apple Computer.  Pierson has over 24 years’ experience working with corporate and government clients to develop, design and implement business solutions.

Pierson holds a B.M.Ed. from the University of Southern Mississippi.  He currently resides in Roswell, Georgia with his wife, Cindy, and their three children.

Maureeen Flannagan
Operations and Community Relations Manager                                                                                                              Greater Southeast District

Maureen Flannagan is the Operations and Community Relations Manager for Microsoft’s Greater Southeast District.  In this role, she is responsible for Microsoft’s Community Affairs’ grant programs, employee volunteer programs and diversity initiatives. Over the last several years, she has approved more than $7 million dollars in cash and software donations to non-profit organizations in Georgia and Florida, particularly those focusing on workforce development.

Flannagan’s main focus is to grow the Microsoft Unlimited Potential program throughout the Southeast. The Unlimited Potential program seeks to improve technology skills for individuals of all ages and abilities, outside traditional education settings, by providing technology skills training to Community Technology Centers.

She is also responsible for leading Microsoft’s efforts in the Southeast around Science, Technology, and Engineering and Math (STEM) initiatives. Through programs like DigiGirlz  Flannagan is helping Microsoft raise the awareness of young people around opportunities in the technology field.

Prior to joining Microsoft in 1997, Flannagan worked as an Operations Specialist for Comsys Technical Services. 

Flannagan attended Kennesaw State College. She resides in Roswell, Georgia with her husband, Mike, and their two children.
