Located in Alpharetta, the Atlanta Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) provides local businesses access to innovative technologies and expertise that allow them to envision, design and deploy solutions that match their needs. With the support of local Microsoft partners and our nine on-site technology experts, our facility is capable of taking businesses through a unique experience that immerses them in technology.
Recently, our local MTC underwent a major expansion and renovation, which has enhanced our ability to collaborate with customers and partners even further. For instance, we’ve added a new Interactive Center that gives customers an opportunity to experience the latest Windows Phones, tablets and next generation laptops. This area also features a Microsoft Surface device that demonstrates state-of-the-art touch applications, and an area equipped with XBOX 360 KINECT where visitors can try out the latest in interactive games and applications. In addition, our renovations have allowed us to incorporate an expanded Development Suite where customers work with MTC Architects to test the performance and functionality of their solutions, along with two new Briefing Suites featuring integrated digital whiteboards.
The new facility not only makes the technology more accessible, it is also a more open and inviting space, due to our newly added customer café and lounge. Atlanta MTC Director Bill Pierson said of the recent MTC upgrades, “We are constantly looking for ways to enhance our work with customers and partners. This expansion enabled us to increase our capacity to engage with more customers, improve their experience while they are here and make more technology available to them to try and use.”
But, the Atlanta MTC isn’t all business. The facility is also intended to serve our community and encourage the next generation of technology leaders. The Atlanta MTC often hosts events on behalf of local nonprofit groups such as Year Up. We also offer hands-on educational tours, and other resources that help prepare students for careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
We are excited about the possibilities this facility brings to local businesses and the community. We encourage you to learn more about the Atlanta MTC’s services and offerings here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/mtc/locations/atlanta.aspx
