In Windows Storage Server 2008, we have some data about iSCSI Target 3.3, e.g. Max iSCSI Simultaneous Sessions is 64, while in Windows Storage Server 2012, we don’t have the data.

Could you please help to figure out Max iSCSI Simultaneous Sessions in WSS 2012?

Thank you!

You are correct that Windows Server 2012 can have iSCSI Targets bigger than 2Tb in size, in fact they can go up to 16Tb in size with Windows Server 2012 iSCSI Target. VHD's that are larger than 2Tb, the portability between iSCSI and Hyper-V is constrained. If there is a need to have that portability, then don't make the VHD any larger than 2Tb and they should work.

There is a great table that explains the VHD compatibility between iSCSI and Hyper-V in the following blog.
