In a previous post, we mentioned how to create recovery images using DaRT 8.0 SP1. However, that version didn’t support creating recovery images for Windows 8.1. This week we released MDOP 2013 R2 which includes DaRT 8.1 that adds this functionality and more!
MSDN and TechNet subscribers can download MDOP 2013 R2 from MSDN or TechNet.
So what exactly is new in MDOP 2013 R2?
In addition to support for 8.1 as well as multi-language support, most of the improvements are around application and virtualization settings. Application virtualization (App-V) 5.0 SP2 adds Office 2013 support, shell extension support, and sequencing enhancements. User Experience Virtualization (UE-V) 2.0 adds support for Windows Store apps, new Company Settings Center, and synchronization enhancements.
MDOP 2013 R2 also includes Microsoft Bitlocker Administration and Monitoring (MBAM) 2.0 SP1 and Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM) 4.0 SP2.
Stay tuned for future posts on these new technologies.
