Great information, but I'm pretty annoyed that this network requirement is not documented somewhere. Please link me to where it's published or documented that a DC needs to initiate NetBIOS or SMB traffic out to domain member print servers. I've gone over all of the firewall/network related AD DS documentation I can find and did not find this requirement out there; it's especially annoying since DC never really initiate (egress for FW) traffic out to clients, which makes stateful firewall rules useless in this respect.

Thanks for the great post, and I'm sure AD DS network documentation is not your area so sorry for the off topic complaint.
