Our terminal server 2008R2 always sets "Webex Document Printer" as default when auto-creation fails, is there a way to make it set "Mail Room Copier" instead?

Whenever my clients RDC to the server they get this irritating pop up Save As with .xps as file type. I suspect that it has to do with this article somehow. How can I stop this?

I am using Server 2008 TS to host a particular App over a VPN connection. The App runs fine, and I see the printer (printername redirect(2)) but cannot print to the client printer. The client is Windows 7 64 bit. Printer is Brother 2070N. It is configured to use the TS Easy Print, but it won't print even a Test Page. It appears to think it is printing, as no error is generated, but no print. Hmmm. Maybe it should be called TS Hope-ta Print.

Due to our operation being a "one-man show", I have a thin-client / terminal server environment that handles 150 clients strewn throughout the state of SC in 5 cities.

I have, for the past many years, successfully used a "traditional" print server, allowing the users to attach to any network printer in the state.

Terminal Servers and Print Server are both 2008 and both located in the center of the state at the corporate office.

I need to know, from someone who really knows, if checking the "Render print jobs on client computers" is rendering the print job on the Terminal Server or the Print Server ... can't seem to determine or find white paper on this.

I need tit rendered on the Print Server, as it has been in the past.

I have troubles to print fromt TS 2008 to PDFCreator printer in the client. Both machines have PdfCreator driver and printer is redirected but it doesn't print

This is informative post, Loading the core operating system after loading it, the Terminal Server service will start working and will create listening stacks which will listen for incoming connections.

When redirecting back to client printer is is cutting off the left side of the page in one location in different city, bust not at the other. Tried different printers. The apps works ok. only trouble is when trying to print. Can you help

I am trying to use easy print from any Windows 7 machine running either remoteapp or remote desktop but only get the redirected print drivers that are installed on the servers that I am connecting to. Nothing shows up as "easy print" in the properties for the printers. I have tried to use easy print from various windows 7 machines connected to both Windows SBS 2008 and Server 2008R2. I have gone through the one troubleshooting page that I could find and all seems to be enabled and setup correctly, but still no "easy print" redirected printers.

If your SBS 2008 Service Pack2 server is also a Domain Controller or is running Small Business Server (SBS) do this on the server:

1. Click Start, search for cmd.exe

2. Right click on cmd.exe

3. Click on 'Run as Administrator'

4. Type "C:\" w/o the quotation marks and then Press Enter.

5. Type CD\Windows\System32\Spool and then Press Enter.

6. Type Cacls.exe PRINTERS /e /g users:C and then Press Enter.

7. Restart the Print Spooler service
