Windows 7 Beta: Virtual Roundtable with Mark Russinovich

clip_image002On Thursday, February 12th, Mark Russinovich will host a virtual roundtable for IT Pros worldwide to discuss Windows 7 Beta.  Mark, and a panel of Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) will discuss Windows 7 and what’s in store for IT Pros.  Learn about the evolution of features such as:

  • Group Policy
  • BitLocker to Go
  • DirectAccess
  • BranchCache
  • Software Restriction.

In addition to a discussion of the new features there will also be information and tips on Windows 7 Troubleshooting, Application Compatibility and Deployment.  As always, questions are welcome – Mark and the panel will answer as many as they can during the hour.

You can submit your Windows 7 questions live during the event or send them in advance to vrtable@microsoft.com.

  • I am trying to create shutdown/sleep/hibernate/restart shortcuts.

    But every one I try doesn't work

    For instance, if I type

    shutdown /h

    the machine goes into hibernation -- but then pops right back out.

    How can I fix this?
