Thoughts from the EPS Windows Server Performance Team
I joined Microsoft as a Support Engineer on the Performance team in September 2005. Prior to that I spent a couple of years working the late night shift on our Platforms 24x7 team. Working for Microsoft was always a dream job - so I am living the dream! I was on the Windows Vista / Longhorn Server Beta team in 2006, which was one of the coolest projects I have ever worked on, until I took on the task of driving the AskPerf Blog. From July 2007 until now, I've served in the role of Knowledge Engineer for the Performance team - working not only on blogging but also a number of other internal and external content projects for my group.
As you can tell by the logo on the left, I am a huge Manchester United fan. Away from work and sports I am a movie fan and have an extensive DVD collection. I'm also a gamer (I'm sure that comes as no surprise to any of you). I primarily play MMO's, and have actually played most of the major MMO's of the last decade (Everquest, SWG, DAoC, MXO, World of Warcraft, Aion). My XBox and I spend a fair amount of time together as well!
I do have my own personal blog at BangAnalyze.com. I've been neglecting work on that blog over the last couple of years while I've been focusing on AskPerf. However, I will be spending more time focusing on that blog here very shortly. You can also follow me on Twitter!
Finally - the personal stuff. My daughter and I live in Grand Prairie, TX which is about a fifteen minute drive away from the Microsoft campus in Las Colinas. Most Friday afternoons I can be found at The Ranch at Las Colinas unwinding from the week. If you're in the neighborhood on a Friday afternoon, stop by and say hello!
