Yep, that is something under consideration for the future. As is just having the MIG_IGNORE_PROFILE_MISSING=1 always ON by default and letting people turn it OFF for the microscopic cornercase like some application renaming profiles.

Hi Ned,

If the third party product only temporarily locks and renames ntuser.dat files themselves (and does nothing else), then could a very simple step not be coded into USMT to check for the actual existence of the folder specified in "ProfileImagePath"?

After all, if the profile folder itself doesn't exist, then why bother checking 20 times for an NTUSER.DAT that will never appear?

I am working on an inofficial successor to Delprof which I ingeniously called Delprof2. Delprof2 works on all versions of Windows (2000 and newer, that is) and, in addition to correctly deleting profiles, deletes orphaned profile entries in the registry.
