Heh, techvet. I can't publish my results but I will tell you it makes me all sad inside transfering SMB2 <-> SMB2 over a LAN. I just deal with it.

Ned, can you do a test of SMB 1.0 vs SMB 2.0?

Thanks for the exhaustive test. However, I have yet to see someone do a exhaustive test of copying files from Server 2008 to Server 2008 vs. Server 2003 to Server 2003. I am looking for cold hard facts, unless you can point to a real study that was done. I have seen Microsoft throw around the SMB 2.0 promises, but I have yet to see any real-time test results.

Testing over a WAN would be a bonus. 8^)
