&lt;p&gt;regarding the Black screen problem. You may also experience this problem if your computer has 2 or more displays hooked up at the time of install.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I my case my TV was connected with HDMI and Windows thought that this was the primary display and my computer booted up without anything on my primary screen. This took awhile until i found that my TV was displaying Windows. My TV not on the HDMI input, so I did not notice right away. :-)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I was able to switch the input using WIN + P keyboard shortcut.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;But to anyone doing an upgrade I would suggest to only connect one monitor during the first boot.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Just my two cents.&lt;/p&gt;
