Positioning, business value Let’s start with a flashback on the history of Office Communications server (OCS) (LCS 2003, LCS 2005, LCS 2005 Sp1, OCS 2007) and Microsoft Unified Communications. After this short introduction, you will learn more about the power of those tools and why you should care about it. Next-Generation Collaboration This first session focuses on “dial-in audio conferencing”, providing you with an on-premise audio conferencing bridge managed by IT as part of the overall communications infrastructure. You will also discover the “desktop sharing across platforms” possibilities (Windows, Macintosh & Linux), through a Web-based interface and the interest of “persistent group chat”, offering the ability to participate in topic-based discussions and even offline.
