About the Applied Games Group Blog

The Applied Games group was founded in January 2006 by Ralf Herbrich and Thore Graepel. All of us work at Microsoft Research Cambridge, UK in the Machine Learning and Perception group and use this blog as a method to communicate to anyone interested in the application of machine learning to (computer) games.

What you can expect here: We run this blog as part of our passion for community. It is important to note that what we say on this blog is our personal opinion and is not read or approved by anyone before it is posted. Even though we work for Microsoft, not everything accurately reflects the views of our employer, our management, our co-workers. We do our best to ensure that everything we post is accurate, but the postings on this site are provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

What you will not get here: We cannot talk about unreleased details, data or anything that is covered under our Microsoft NDA's.

Otherwise, you are welcome to leave comments on our blog - we read all of them.
