Howdy folks,

Just a quick blog post today.

As many of you know, we've publicly announced that we are targeting to release the next major release of Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) in H1 of CY'15. Over the last couple weeks we've been working on locking down our plans for this.  We've now completed that effort and we'll start coding in a few weeks!

So this is a good time to share the major functional areas we are going to investment in and also to let you know that we've closed on a new name for the product.

Going forward, future releases of FIM will be named "Microsoft Identity Manager".  (ok, it's not revolutionary, but it sure is clear and concise!)

To read more about this, head on over to the Server & Cloud blog on TechNet. Adam Hall, one of our Identity Product Managers has written a nice blog post with the details.

Best regards,
