&lt;p&gt;Thanks for the clarification of targeting rules and monitors! But althought I checked if I selected the right target (with the Discovered Inventory View) I got an error after creating a monitor.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The error stated &amp;quot;Failed to verify Unit Monitor with ID... The requested managementpack element in MP... is not accesible outside this MP...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The selected target is member of a sealed MP. And I created a new MP for the Monitor I wanted to create. After choosing a different Target (from the same sealed MP) it worked. Why did I get that first error?&lt;/p&gt;
