Asia Pacific SharePoint Conference in Sydney, Australia in early May 2007. More information about the conference will be posted soon on Lawrence's blog
The next SharePoint Conference in the United States is scheduled for 3-7 March 2008 at the Seattle Convention Center.
SharePoint Connections Conference (not Microsoft hosted, but we will be a sponsor) being held on 25-28 March in Orlando, FL or the Microsoft TechEd Conference on 4-8 June in Orlando, FL as well. Both conferences will have plenty of SharePoint oriented sessions and content.

Top Microsoft Events for 2007

Further to Emma's blog on Microsoft UK events in February, I noticed Mary Jo Foley's blogged her top 10 events for the year, which are below. For me it has to CES, which has been all over the news recently about the latest technology and gadgets (incl. our new Home Server); watching the demos from MIX07 and the Partner Conference in Denver which lays out our plans for the year ahead.

* Vista Retail Launch, January 29, New York. Press, analysts and a few select guests are invited to this one. But there are launches being held all over the world, leading up to the January 30 date when Vista goes on sale.

* Convergence, March 11-14, San Diego. All about Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM for customers and partners.

* MVP Global Summit, March 12-15, Seattle A networking and strategy event for Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs) only.

* Microsoft Mix07, April 30-May 2, Las Vegas. For Web designers and developers. At last year's event, there were lots of attendees running non-Microsoft software in the "mix." Expect lots of WPF/e and the mysterious "Technology X" to be on display.

* Microsoft Business Intelligence Conference, May 9-11, Seattle. For CIOs, CTOs and other "business professionals": Microsoft's guide to its expanding family of analytics-oriented wares.

* WinHEC (Windows Hardware Engineering Conference), May 15-17, Los Angeles. This year's WinHEC will be heavily slanted toward Longhorn Server. Attendees include OEMs, white-box vendors and driver developers.

* Microsoft TechEd 2007, June 4-8, Orlando. For IT pros and developers who want a refresher on Office, SQL Server, management tools and all that non-sexy stuff.

* Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, July 10-12, Denver. For Microsoft resellers, integrators, VARs and their friends. Lots of sales and licensing content, plus TechEd-like sessions.

* Microsoft Professional Developers Conference, October 2-5, Los Angeles. Lots of geeky deep-dive developer content on Longhorn Server and Visual Studio "Orcas," among other technologies.

Office system Training for SI/VAR Partners

SharePoint User Group July Event

Reading Eileen’s blog, I saw Nick from the SharePoint User group has scheduled their next event in July - with a couple of interesting speakers... this is being organised with Combined Knowledge (the chaps who presented at the first user group meeting) on Thursday 20th July. Bill English and Todd Bleaker (they wrote the SharePoint Resource Kit) are flying over from the US and will be presenting along with a few others. All together we’ve got 3 rooms and 7 or 8 different speakers to cover Office 2007 stuff. We’ve space for between 200-250 people and we reckon we can fill it up!
