Here’s another SQL Server 2008 blogcast on manageability, this time on using Policy Management, to implement best practice in SQL Server:
Hi Andrew, the link for this post is pointing to your configuration servers video.
Darren, Thanks, fixed it now!
Hi Andrew,
It seems MS Virtual Lab on this topic is running old SQL 2008. I noticed the released version only has on demand and on schedule. Anyway we could do enforce a policy? Do you have more information on SQL 2008 policy management?
thanks
David
Can you tell me whihc virtual lab you ran?
Only some policies can be enforced as per my post here...
http://blogs.technet.com/andrew/archive/2008/10/13/sql-server-2008-getting-tough-with-policy-management.aspx
as for on schedule that creates an agent job
Andrew
Thanks Andrew. The query is very useful so I could find out which facet has on change-prevent and on change-log only.
Thanks again.
