Two things that I recently came across with regard to the company KB in MOM:

  • Positive: there’s a nice script that lets you export the KB content to HTML files: http://www.huntland.co.uk/Downloads/MOM/DumpMomKb.html. You might use it to import the KB knowledge into some other (most often web-based) tool that holds the company IT knowledge
  • Negative: the MOM KB looks to have a ~3000 symbol limit in any of the sections; this is because of UI restriction, not the Database; A workaround is to divide the content to sections (limitation is per section) or provide a link in the MOM KB to an internal web-based company KB
