Wix: Update DLLs to a different folder

Hi Alex,

I have a client app that was originally installed in c:\MyClient\3570\ folder. In the client app update, I updated it to c:\MyClient\3580\ folder (using a different production code and the same update code in Wix script). However, I was unable to remove the old c:\MyClient\3570\ folder. Do you happen to know if it is possible to remove the old folder in update mode?

Hi George,

I am sorry, I am not sure I understand your question. Let me state my assumptions:

- Component has moved from one folder to another;

- we are talking about major upgrade.

I just need more information on context in which update was made.
